The best pint of Guinness is when it’s in us.

That’s a poem my brother wrote a few years back about Guinness. They had a competition and whoever won, I believe won their own pub in Ireland. Below is a Guinness ad that purportedly cost 10 million pounds ($20.4 million dollars, US). I guess it was filmed on location in Argentina, but 20 million dollars? You have to be fucking kidding me. This pretty much explains the difference between Craft Beer (like Flying Dog, Deschutes, etc.) and Macro Beer (Coors, Guinness, etc.).
Am I the only one who doesn’t really understand why they filmed this in Argentina? Are the Argentinians known for their Guinness consumption? Yeah, so the end is sort of clever, but there are many better examples of the Rube Goldberg Machine. This isn’t even shot in one continuous shot, which is lame. I think the below ad is more clever and exciting because it is a single shot. Of course, they had to shoot it like 600 times to get it right. This ad was also shit on when it came out, as well, for being uncreative.
