An Inconvenient Truth: The DNC is coming

A guy who protected the President from us protesters.

Denver Direct posts a press release from Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper about the upcoming Democratic Convention. Hickenlooper says there won’t be much of a problem with traffic and the added 50,000 people who will be in attendance this coming August. I’d like to go to a protest to check it out, even if I don’t agree with what they’re saying.

What do you think about this whole “Convention thing” in Denver soon? How much will it change your routine?

I work in the northwestern corner of LoDo, pretty far from the Pepsi Center, which is more on the southwestern corner of the hip, downtown area. But my daily drive takes me right by the Pepsi Center in the morning, and I’ll be avoiding that. I’m even thinking about working from home the whole week it’s happening.

One thing’s for sure, I’m going to go to downtown bars and buy hot female convention-goers Flying Dog beer while I’m there. God bless being able to expense some beer.
