Well, now I have to go to Canada on a vacation

I’ve had this idea for a vacation (well, this is one idea I have). Fly to Edmonton, see the Oilers play some hockey against the Avalanche. Cruise down to Calgary, see the Avalanche play the Flames. From Calgary, go to a few places. One of those places is to drive 90 minutes west into the Rockies (much as I do now from Denver) and end up at Banff to go skiing for a few days. Then maybe a fly to Vancouver to see the Avs pay the Canucks (but with skiing that’s probably not possible).Then I could drive 90 minutes up to Whistler to take a few turns up at another world-class ski area.

Flip Phillips called me an asshole

This is a test, this is only a test. If it were a real emergency, a polite gentleman with an English accent would tell you what to do.

So, you have no blog entries for two whole months and this is the first new one? (Yeah, I’m an idiot.)

No, Flip Phillips hasn’t actually called me an asshole, this is really just a test. A few years ago, Flip wrote about how this guy Edward Tufte, or someone in his evil, evil corporation, called Flip an asshole. Read Flip’s blog entry about this incident. This blog entry has crawled up the Google search ranking for Mr. Tufte’s name, I guess. So I’m posting something about Flip to see if I can get this blog entry high up on the list when you search his name. I have reason to believe that the good Professor Phillips will reciprocate, and we can compare who has the most Google clout.

So I’m back, I promise I won’t abandon you guys in the future. In fact, it’s my birthday next week (the big 3-0) and I have a special surprise for you guys. More info soon.
