Rage Against the Machine Rages the streets of Denver

rage (against the machine) rages

The DNC is in Denver. So are protesters. Rage Against the Machine played a free show at the Denver Coliseum this afternoon, and then led a march right past my work. So I went outside to watch. About 75 policemen in riot gear were on hand to watch, too, along with about 30 bike cops. So my buddy Justin and I hung out while they walked past. A few thousand protesters or so, with about 75 servicemen in uniform leading the pack. People were surprisingly peaceful. See the whole set by clicking on the image above.

There were 3,000 people in the march, as reported by the Rocky Mountain News. It was also the largest protest of the DNC thus far. I told myself I was going to go to at least one rally and one protest this week, and one protest will be enough. It was interesting to be watching a mass of people who were mad as hell and weren’t going to take it any more.

Yonder Rocks

A view from the top of Red Rocks

Long time, no post! I’ve been pretty goddamn busy, with lots of work projects and lots of playing. Last weekend, I was lucky enough to score a photo pass to Yonder Mountain String Band at scenic Red Rocks Amphitheatre. All in all, I took about 600 photos and pared them down to the 25 choicest photos.

Take a look at the whole photoset here.
