Go fly a (bright)kite

If you’re new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
I just had a beer with the Brightkite team, Neal and I dropped a case of beer off to them. Their offices are right down the street from us Flying Dog mutts. I met their team, and we talked […]

Telluride rocks, but the storeworkers are getting restless

I’ve been in Telluride about 18 hours now, and I absolutely love it here. We drove all afternoon and evening last night, but the 8 hour trip is well worth it. I got to the condo I was staying in and cruised down to the Darrel Scott and John Cowan show at Las Montañas. Banjoist […]

About to ride to Telluride!

I’m just about to leave for Telluride, the Bluegrass Festival is underway now. We’re leaving here in a few minutes, and I’m tapped to see Darrel Scott and John Cowan tonight at La Montaña.
I may or may not be updating my blog as we go, but I’ll definitely be updating my Twitter stream and will […]

Smithsonian photos added to Flickr

One of the things flickr is doing that I’m loving is The Commons. Today they added 850 photos from the Smithsonian. The nice thing about these photos being on flickr is that us Flickrnauts can classify all the images by adding tags. So start adding, people!

Yes, I can pair beer and turkey sandwiches

If you know me, you know I am a turkey sandwich fanatic. So much so that I even wrote a blog entry for the Denver Egotist about pairing beer and turkey sandwiches. Mmmm, turkey sandwiches.
Take a read and let me know what you think.

Savor, por favor?*

Savor - An American Craft Beer & Food Experience from Flying Dog Brewery on Vimeo.
When I was on the East Coast, I worked at Savor, a beer festival that was all about pairing American Craft Beer and gourmet food. I poured a bunch of beer for happy folks, gave away a few free tickets outside, […]

Dude, pull over. I think I have to Plurk.

I just started Plurking. There was no warning, it just started happening. Plurk is some sort of Twitter 2.0, I guess. It definitely allows for some better interaction between you and your contacts, but I’m still on the fence about it.
Until there’s a Twinkle-style iPhone app, I don’t think I’ll really fall in love with […]

Free Freebird (or how to stream thousands of live shows online easily)

The “Concert Vault” of wolfgangsvault.com is an amazing collection of thousands of live concert recordings from the last 40 years. The site allows you to stream most everything for free, to boot! I started listening to some amazing shows this morning and am still listening to some really high-quality recordings.
Wolfgang’s Vault has a wide variety […]

An Inconvenient Truth: The DNC is coming

Denver Direct posts a press release from Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper about the upcoming Democratic Convention. Hickenlooper says there won’t be much of a problem with traffic and the added 50,000 people who will be in attendance this coming August. I’d like to go to a protest to check it out, even if I don’t […]

Off-roading in a 4×4

In a first-ever for me, I’ve been tagged in a 4×4 blog meme. Stan Hieronymous tagged me, and he’s such a good guy that I feel that this is a mandatory post. A 4×4 post is something where you write about 4 subjects, with each answer having 4 different answers.
According to tradition, I’m going to […]
