The Denver Egotist boosts my ego a little

The Denver Egotist wrote about Flying Dog’s packaging redesign, something I worked on. I got a nice little name drop. Just something to boost my ego a little bit. Well, it’s nice to get some recognition.

    When I saw “Flying Dog” and “Redesign” in the same sentence, I thought Steadman was out and I was going to be depressed. But they look clean and classy, man. Good work.

    Yeah, we definitely were intent on keeping all of Ralph Steadman’s original illustrations. One of the most iconic illustrators around, Ralph’s work is instantly identifiable. And incidentally, Ralph is the only person I’ve ever met to have been parodied on the Simpsons.

    At the same time, we wanted the rest of the packaging to reflect a cohesive unit. We also added some great copy for each bottle in our own irreverent way.
