Ten-Four

coppers and fire - a great photo!

There comes a time in every person’s life when they’re in dire need of a graphic designer. Sometimes I feel that, with the proper training, people could all be decent designers. Instead of some four-year institution where you’re really just taking a couple classes about design over a two-year period (at least, that’s how long i was able to take design classes), it would be possible to show some real-world issues over a longer time-span that would educate the world’s population.

A handy tool in that endeavor would be The Design Police, an awesome website that gives you printable stickers that you can systematically affix to bad design around the world. This social re-education would teach consumers that there is some pretty bad shit out there in the world, and only a little training would go a long way.

Something I like about it is that the site is hosted on an .org domain. Which is perfect because the site is built to educate, not to profit.

(thanks, Flip!
