My first HD video
I recently got a Canon HV20 HD Camcorder. After lots of fidgeting the last 2 evenings, I sort of got some video that was decent. See for yourself. It’s a little jumpy, a byproduct of my shooting at 24 frames per second. Or maybe I encoded it all fucked up. You have to start somewhere.
Eric Volz potentially free?
Last year when I was in Nicaragua, there was a murder in a town I was about to visit called San Juan Del Sur. An American was convicted of the crime, although at his trial no real evidence was ever presented (see my earlier blog entry about this here). Yesterday a court in Nicaragua overturned the conviction. Read more in the CNN Article about the developments. To paraphrase, the judge who was supposed to release him today never showed up, and Eric was taken to a police hospital today as well. The details are vague, but I’m hopeful that Eric is OK. More details as they are printed online (does that even make sense?).
The Friends of Eric Volz website has an update about the situation – definitely worth checking out. Some scary shit.

Snake Dog Available at Whole Foods, Kensington, London
Knut Albert is a beer blogger. He took a photo of the beer selection at Whole Foods in Kensington (London). I’m happy to see that Flying Dog’s Snake Dog IPA is there, in the bottom right. It’s fucking cool that my buddy Alex can go to his local Whole Foods and find our beer.
When Gentiles Attack*
When you gentiles attack us Jews, you may be setting up a holy alliance between jews and musilms. Evidence being this story about Jewish-Americans getting their asses kicked by Christian-Americans, and then a Muslim-American coming to their aid. My next piece of evidence will occur in about 240 years. In a post WWIII situation, humans have come together and have started exploring space. Their enemies, the Klingons, will have a small outpost get attacked by the Romulans, and the Federation Flagship will come to the Klingon’s aid.
