I want to write a blog entry about the fire…

…but it smells like popcorn in my house, and it makes me not want to write anything. I’ll have a big long blog entry some time this week about the whole situation. I am back home, but it’s a little weird.

There was a fire in my apartment building last night. Not entirely sure what the details are, but one apartment was totally burned out. We had to stay elsewhere last night, but the disaster response guys who showed up last night ran an air test and we’ve been informed that we can stay in our places tonight. It smells like smoke in my apartment and the fire department broke my lock on my door to check for occupants/fire. But that appears to be the only”damage”.

News teams were right on the scene, Channel 7 even showed up before the fire department, even. Here’s a Fox31 News report, where I got interviewed – Click the “videos” link to see (worst interview ever).

StumbleUpon is pretty awesome

I found this video of Dave Brubeck doing “Take Five” by using StumbleUpon – basically you sign up, and download a toolbar. You put in a few things you like and when you click the “Stumble!” button it takes you to a website which you can grade as something you like or don’t like with just one click on the toolbar. The jazz clip is awesome in black and white and has an amazing drum solo. Also, the odd comments on the video are not so awesome. Well, they’re just ridiculous.
