Boggle 2.0
The guy who designed WeBoggle came out with a newer and somewhat more slick version of Boggle (wikipedia link) over at Wordsplay.net. In other Boggle-related news, apparently you can play the word “Poontang”. Make sure you take a look at the comments on the photo above. They made me laugh, at least.
Al Gore, Venture Capitalist
Lots of people are thinking that Al Gore will run for President as a late entry into the 2008 race. CNN has an interesting article about Gore’s new job as a Venture Capitalist, specializing in alternative and green energy companies. I think that Gore seems right at home in this new job, and he’s got an amazing amount of leverage with some high profile companies and countries. And, to be honest, it’s probably nice to be your own boss. As President, 50.1% of your bosses (a.k.a. The American Citizens) want you to be President, but that means that 49.9% of people hate you and want to fire your ass.
Beer Me!
I am really liking how social networking websites are open to allow third parties to develop cool content. foamee.com integrates with Twitter to allow you to “give” beers to people. Working at a craft brewery, this is a perfect application for us to use. Flying Dog routinely sends beer to beer bloggers nationally so that they have a change to taste and review our latest and greatest brews.
The Pope hates sandwiches?
I just called Maggiano’s (an Italian restaurant chain) to get some food while I’m sitting on my ass here in Detroit, watching the Broncos get spanked by the Detroit Lions. I asked for a Chicken Parm sandwich and was informed that they don’t serve sandwiches on Sunday. What the fuck? You’ve lost a customer, Maggiano’s.
