i like that the united center in chicago has wifi inside

im at the blackhawks/flames game right now, here in chi-town during my 6 hour layover. got “scalped” (read: 5th row seats after game started for cheap) and it’s not bad.

so im back stateside. the trip was fun with some serious melancholy thrown in to ground me. was it relaxing? in some ways but the urban vacation was definitely not as relaxing as Nicaragua.

more to come as soon as i get back to denver tonight, maybe tomorrow.

we bought one of these today

A Pithaya.

Jam in the Dam

Wow. A few photos here.

finally in hampsterdam

wow. lots of traveling. 2 planes broke in denver. we ended up getting into chicago at 10pm on friday night. 90 minutes of line at customer service. angry travelers. some bad customer service people. but one spectacular woman. she got me and adam onto a saturday afternoon flight to amsterdam. we pretty much lucked out in a big way. we stayed in a hotel overnight and got up on saturday and cruised downtown to check out irish drunkies on saint paddys day. the green river was disappointing, much more of a brownish river with a bit of green. didn’t see doctor richard kimball (or the one-armed man, for that matter).

anyhow, we’re here. and we haven’t missed the festival!

stuck in denver

my flight to chicago has been mega-delayed. missing my connecting flight to amsterdam. going to cry.
