Downloading the installer of the uninstaller of installers

Adobe recommended that I upgrade my Creative Suite 2 today. So I looked at the file that it wanted to download. It was an installer file that contained a program to uninstall all previous installer programs. Doesn’t get more confusing than that. Then the installer was successful, but that’s all and I don’t know where the fuck the file or program went. So I think it didn’t actually work.
